RUDI BOA CENTER –
CHILD PROTECTION AND EDUCATION

De-Worming And The Kids
In April this year, more than 250 kids were provided with Bendazol (de-worming) tablets. The students were clearly instructed on how to use the tablets effectively prior to taking home. We have noticed that some students are too skinny and do not have enough energy due to worms. Now they have changed after using the tablets.

The Way To Be Healthy At An Early Age
The students have set up an active soccer team at the center! The sport program is held every week. The kids are also enthusiastic about their morning exercise. This is a great way for them to stay fit while having fun.

Building Staff Capacity Is A Component of Our Work!

All team leaders and staff members attended the training at the ACE head office on “Effective Personal Development Skills” with Ms. Montha who is currently working as a Local Administration Advisor at UNDP. Participants have gained a lot new knowledge, capacities and experience to apply themselves, such as critical thinking skills, preparing life plans, and knowing their responsibilities to society. They also can build relationships with other people from many different institutions. Our team leaders and staffs also had a chance to attend another two-day training on “Effective Roles and Responsibilities of Administrators” with Mr. Sokhim, who is currently working as HR Manager at Bridges Across Borders Cambodia (BABC).

Youth Training Is A Continuing Process!

Raksmey, Vantha and Sotheara, who are ACE residents and also university students in Social Work, Management and Social Science, respectively, provided and shared their own experiences on: Team Work and Team Building, Study Groups, Counseling Skills, Personal Financial Management and How to Overcome Struggles to the youths at Rudi Boa Center. ACE encourages our youths and gives them inspiration and hope to continue their studies at university by using the money and other resources they can access.

What Would We Do Without Our Volunteers And Team Leaders!

We very much appreciate all the efforts of those who volunteer for us and lead various parts of our programs. We are also congratulation to our previous 5 team leaders at Rudi Boa Centre

The main goals of the meeting were: to let parents know their childs’ improvement while attending Rudi Boa, to promote the connection with the school, to give some keys to improve students’ studying to their parents, and to promote child protection policies of the center. The meeting was very fun with much contribution from the teachers, and the kids did some performances such as: Roleplay, Comedy, Fashion show, Singing, Fun games and many more. This program is held once every four months to update the parents about their children’s performance at Rudi Boa Center.

SING-CAM PORRIDGE FOR HOPE PROGRAM

ACE provides a bowl of porridge to more than 200 kids at Rudi Boa Center and more than 20 kids at Wat Than slum community! The purpose of the program is to provide breakfast for kids 5-16 years old who cannot afford it, to have hope for better conditions in the future when they have good careers. Also, the program aims to promote a good relationship between the community and the center and warm-hearted attention toward the kids, as well as a good relationship between teachers, staff members and students.
